They earned their wings.” This is an expression used to denote a great honor. It applies to those in the military who have qualified to work on or in aircraft. It also applies to one who has acted in a way that is somehow angelic. Why do angels have wings? Without the physical body, all are free to fly. The aura of angels is so large and bright that they have for eternity been seen as having wings. How do you earn your wings while still in human form? Shine brightly! Do not allow the bonds of earth to hold you down. Being human carries a burden, for the body is hard-wired to respond in certain animal-like ways that you might recognize in yourself at times. You are not only human. Recognize and express your true nature as often as possible, and grow those wings now.
